Frequently Asked Questions

📘 What exactly is a geoboard and do I need to purchase one separately?
A geoboard is a plastic or wooden board with pegs arranged in a grid pattern, used with rubber bands for creating shapes. Geoboards are sold separately and available at most educational supply stores or online.

📘 How does building letters with rubber bands help with reading readiness?
Constructing letters physically creates stronger neural pathways for letter recognition. The tactile experience of forming each letter engages multiple senses, making letter shapes more memorable than just seeing them on paper.

📘 At what age is this activity most beneficial?
These task cards are ideal for children ages 3-7. Younger children will focus on the building aspect while absorbing letter shapes, while older children can work on letter sounds and matching. Rubber bands are a choking hazard and shouldn't be used with kids who might put them in their mouth.

📘 Can this activity be done independently?
After initial guidance, many children can use these task cards independently, making them perfect for when you need to work with another child or prepare a meal.

Superb

My Grandson was thrilled when I brought the cards home. We laminated the pages and he spent hours with a dry erase marker...writing and rewriting. Thank you so much for sharing!
