This adorable, printer friendly planner is an awesome tool! Have fun with your kids helping them set their reading goals. It will be super encouraging for them to be able to see those goals being met in the record keeping pages as well. I love the pages for book report that are for drawing narrations of what they have read. Some kids don't want to write what they read about no matter how short, but drawing is easier for them. There is pages for the kids who like to write and draw what they read as well. I really like this planner!

This planner can be used as a guide to set reading goals for and with your children. The very first page is a place for your "why": "My Vision for My Kids as Readers". There are monthly and weekly goal lists; reading logs; blank monthly, weekly, and daily planners; topic outline of the Dewey Decimal System; and more. I love that the pages are professional, simple, with cute borders and graphics in appropriate places, but everything is printer-friendly. (Room to decorate or color!) On the pages that list every month, there is a Jan-Dec option and a Sept-Aug option. I do wish there was a blank one because we start our school year in August. But this planner is a great start to inspire young readers and their parents/teachers!
