Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
📘 Can we use these with something besides play dough?
Absolutely! While designed for play dough, these mats work wonderfully with markers (or laminated with dry erase markers, making them reusable). Some families also use them with wiki sticks, magnetic letters, or even small manipulatives to trace the letter shapes.
📘 What age is appropriate for these mats?
These mats are ideal for children ages 3-6. Younger children will focus on the sensory aspect while absorbing letter shapes, while older children will make more connections with sounds and writing.
📘 How do I prepare these for use?
For best results, print on cardstock and laminate for durability. This allows for repeated use with both play dough and dry erase markers.
📘 How do these support reading readiness?
By engaging multiple senses (touch, sight) while learning letters, children create stronger neural pathways for remembering letter shapes, names, and sounds—all foundational skills for reading success.

Excellent resource! My daughter loves it. Very useful for years to come. Thank you
I like these Alphabet Play Dough Mats. It's a lot but you can laminate them to last longer and with me having 3 small grandbabies, they all will be able to use these too. Thank you.

from 60 reviewsBeautiful, engaging, and a great tool for helping my children get interested in reading in a way that isn't overwhelming or dry,

Such a super convenient way to take our reading lessons on the go!! I downloaded them onto my tablet, and now we can do our reading at the park or at grandparents houses without risking the paper readers getting torn up!!

These are great! My students really enjoyed using Rubberbands to make letters.

Es un gran material, me encanta!

My Grandson was thrilled when I brought the cards home. We laminated the pages and he spent hours with a dry erase marker...writing and rewriting. Thank you so much for sharing!

The his was a nice hands on activity to work on learning letters. It is a nice change from writing or coloring.

I'm using mine with cardboard to do the letters and punching out the holes so my granddaughter can use them for sewing her numbers and letters.
Very useful svgs!!!

Easy to make and appealing to kids to create letters they have learned about all year.

I think theses cards are a cool concept to help kids not only learn how to write their letters but to recognize them also.

Since starting reading better together kit my daughter has already grown in leaps and bounds, been able to letter blend better and read words with little help. This is such a brilliant start to and incredible reading journey x
